What does “Powered by The Rogers Foundation” mean?

What does “Powered by The Rogers Foundation” mean? The Rogers Foundation has committed to long-term support of Core. They provide $300,000 worth of funding, operational support, business offices, and supplies to alleviate operating and fundraising burdens on Core so that our staff can continue to build a great program and diversify our supporters base.

How can my child be enrolled in the Core model?

How long does Core work with students and families?

The duration of Core’s intensive program is seven years: from 6th grade through 12 grade. Core continues to support the Scholars and their families for four years beyond high school graduation through the Core Alumni Network.

Do you work with Clark County School District?

Yes. Core’s Memorandum of Understanding with the CCSD allows us to share data, best practices, and utilize facilities.

How often does Core “adopt” a new class of students and their families into the model?

We adopt cohorts of 75 children and their families every two years when funding is available. If you would like to learn more about funding for a cohort of Scholars, please email Liberty Leavitt (liberty@corewecan.org).

Does Core provide trainings, license curriculum, or speakers for events?

Succeeding globally in the integrated resort business means developing a global view while using local knowledge to understand particular business challenges in markets around the world. In this project we want you to think “glocal”: use your hometown insights to cater to customers from around the world. For twenty years, Christie has been directing and implementing all marketing programs for GLI’s 20 worldwide = test labs. Her responsibilities include building the corporate brand and establishing and directing marketing functions in accordance with GLI’s policies, regulations and sound business practices. Christie will help you put the finishing touches on your world-class, international marketing plan.

Where is Core located?

Core’s learning center is located at West Prep Academy. This school has been our home base since 2012. Our business office address is 701 So. 9th Street, Las Vegas, NV 89101.

Does Core programming cost anything for children and families?

No, Core is 100% free to the families and children that we serve.

What is the annual cost to support a child and their family through the Core model?

The total 7-year cost is $35,000 per Scholar. The annual cost of $5,000 includes transportation, supplies, staffing, resources, a college/vocational school college savings account contribution, tutoring, and enrichment programs.

Does Core pay for students to go to college?

No, we do not commit to paying for our Scholars to go to college. Instead, we commit to ensuring that students and their families are well prepared to apply for federal funds, scholarships, and financial support to ensure that college is accessible and available for all. We also make an annual contribution to individual college savings accounts.
